Modern networks continue to increase in complexity and security requirements as the number of devices connected to the internet grows. A corporate network is no longer just computers and printers, there’s an extended list of Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as cameras, environmental sensors, lighting, speakers, and much more. Each of these devices, referred to as endpoints, are connected to the network and exchanging information.
The CSOLVE team currently uses several security solutions through Cisco and the Meraki platform to track all endpoints on our managed networks. Using these tools, we can identify and categorize devices and receive alerts of suspicious devices and behaviour enabling us to quickly respond to issues.
Cisco is improving the capabilities of these solutions through the implementation of AI. Cisco Security Cloud Control leverages AI to analyze device behaviour on the network and use these insights to automate resolutions. For example, if a connected printer starts communicating to a new device, the monitoring solution can assess the behaviour and revert this change automatically if it conflicts with policy. As cloud and hybrid workplaces continue to develop and grow in popularity, these enhanced capabilities delivered through AI will ensure networks remain both productive and secure. CSOLVE, TD SYNNEX, HP and Microsoft hosted an event at Quayle’s Brewery this month, and despite the threat of thunderstorms, our awesome partners braved the weather to join us bright and early to hear Towen Chrea and Kirk Sinclair present how AI can transform and empower our workforces.
The team at Quayle’s was wonderful. The energy they infused into the event with their immense passion for their business really energized the group, and the food was amazing! We were taken on a guided tour of their world-class hop yard and farm brewery, and learned how they transformed their property to use their own spring water and farm fresh hops to create a lasting farm-to-glass experience.
